As program developers, Launch Institute will develop and customise programs to meet your specific needs and target the desired outcomes of your company. All of our programs are designed to be highly interactive, thought provoking and be fun.

Methods of attaining this Qualification

Launch Institute has 7 flexible options for attaining this qualification, depending on your previous work and training experience, your preferred style of learning and your availability to attend the scheduled workshops.  Click on the links below to explore them

 Course Structure

This program addresses key competency areas that represent the primary areas of work undertaken within training and assessment services. We have named these areas Blocks which are like minded units that have been linked together to provide a holistic approach to learning, see below.
To qualify for the Certificate IV you will need to demonstrate competence in the 7 core units plus 3 elective units * as shown in the blocks below.

Course Delivery

To ensure participants achieve the units of competency, Launch Institute has designed an interactive training program that is both stimulating and enjoyable.

It is delivered as a nine day program 3 x 2 day workshops and 1 x 3 day workshop.  Comprehensive learning resources are provided for each unit of competence undertaken.

Our program will ensure you have the maximum opportunity to achieve the qualification. Group numbers are kept small, with full support provided by our qualified, highly experienced trainers.

There are no prerequisites for entry into this program.

To obtain the certificate you will need to attend a workshop to cover each of the 4 blocks.

Blocks 1, 3 & 4 are taught over 2 day intensive workshops and Block 2  is taught over 3 days

(You are able to mix and match dates to suit yourself,  we do however recommend you do the blocks in order)

Although the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training  and Assessment course covers all four blocks you are able to complete only the blocks you need or require.

Assessment will be both formative and summative with relevant group and individual exercises to be completed during the workshops and between the individual blocks. As the assessments are holistic you may need to undertake additional out of course hours work and a project, if you are not completing all four blocks.

Flexible/Self Paced Learning

You can undertake this program at times and at a pace that best suits your needs.
Our unique self-paced learning program has been designed to include personalised trainer support and you are encouraged to meet with us at regular intervals (face to face, email or telephone) to receive feedback and guidance. 
To support the self paced learning, Launch Institute has designed a series of  comprehensive learning resources plus work related learning exercises for you to complete. 
Depending on your current employment situation, parts of the program may require some workshop attendance.

Recognition of Prior Learning and/or Recognition
of Current Competencies

We recognise prior learning and current competencies which means Launch Institute will assess you and credit you for your previous relevant experience and qualifications. You can receive credit for the whole or part of this qualification if you can provide the necessary evidence to support this.

To qualify for the full TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment you will need to provide evidence that confirms your competence in the 7 Core Units and 3 elective units. Alternatively you can seek recognition for individual units.

Full details of these units can be accessed from the National Training Information Service website www.ntis.gov.au

Evidence can be produced from a variety of sources such as:

  • Previous relevant qualifications attained
  • Previous relevant experience
  • Work products that you have personally developed
  • Third party reports (eg C/V or Resume from management or other relevant personnel)
  • Oral questioning by the assessor
  • On the job observation

The evidence provided must meet the following criteria.  It must be:

  • Valid
    		•  it must specifically relate to the units of competency from this qualification
  • Sufficient
    		•  the evidence provided must cover a range of contexts and have been gathered over a period of time
  • Current
    		•  it must be deemed recent by the assessor
  • Authentic
    		•  it must be proved to be yours

    Upgrade program from TAA40104  to TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

    Get a competitive edge and obtain professional development credits by upgrading to the new TAE40110.

    If you already have TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Launch Institute offers a very easy inexpensive process to upgrade to the new TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

    The evidence you will need to provide will be determined on a case by case basis, but is likely to include:

    • A certified copy of your TAA40104 Certificate, including the units completed

    • Your CV/resume showing the training and assessing you have been involved in since obtaining your  TAA40104, including contact details for a referee

    • The professional development you have undertaken since obtaining your TAA40104

    • An interview with a Launch Development assessor

    • Dependent on the version of the units you have completed in your TAA40104 some further evidence may be required.

    Upgrade program from BSZ40198 to TAE40110

    If you have the BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training there is no direct mapping from this qualification to the new TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

    As the BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training was superseded 2 training packages ago no Credit Transfers can be given to the TAE40110 qualification. Launch Institute however offers the opportunity to obtain this upgrade through a recognition process, utilising information provided by you, together with attendance at a training program to obtain the additional units of competence required.

    The evidence you will need to provide for the RPL/RCC will be determined on a case by case basis, but is likely to include:

      • Certified copy of your original BSZ40198 qualification, including units completed

      • Current  CV/resume confirming the training and/or assessing you have been involved in to ensure your currency, including contact details of a referee to confirm this

      • Evidence of recent professional development

      • Evidence to support your involvement in the development and contextualising of learning programs to support the needs of a workplace, environment or needs of the learners

      • An interview with a Launch Institute assessor which will cover in particular your knowledge of the VET environment & inclusive learning and workplace organisational & legislative requirements, such as health and safety

    Individual Units from TAE40110

    If you require only some units of competence from the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment you are able to complete the individual units or relevant skill sets - your Launch Institute facilitator would be happy to guide you on this.

    Also, you have the option of spreading out the payment for this Certificate by enroling in each of the four Blocks separately and completing them one at a time
