Course Structure
This program addresses key competency areas that represent the primary areas of work undertaken within training and assessment services. We have named these areas ‘Blocks’ which are like minded units that have been linked together to provide a holistic approach to learning, see below.
To qualify for the Certificate IV you will need to demonstrate competence in the 12 core units plus 2 elective units as shown in the 4 blocks below.

Course Delivery
To ensure participants achieve the units of competency, Launch Development has designed a ten day (2 x 2 day workshops plus 2 x 3 day workshops) interactive training program that is both stimulating and enjoyable. A comprehensive manual is provided for each block.
Our program will ensure you have the maximum opportunity to achieve the qualification. Group numbers are kept small, with full support provided by our qualified, highly experienced trainers.
There are no prerequisites for entry into this program.
To obtain the certificate you will need to attend a workshop to cover each of the 4 blocks.
Blocks 1 & 2 are taught over 2 day intensive workshops
Blocks 3 & 4 are taught over 3 day intensive workshops
(You are able to mix and match dates to suit yourself – we do however recommend you do the blocks in order)
Although the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment course covers all four blocks you are able to complete only the blocks you need or require.
Assessment will be both formative and summative with relevant group and individual exercises to be completed during the workshops, as well as out of course hours projects.

Flexible Learning
You can undertake this program at times and at a pace that best suits your needs.
Our unique self-paced learning program has been designed to include personalised trainer support and you are encouraged to meet with us at regular intervals to receive feedback and guidance.
To support the self paced learning, we have designed a series of 4 comprehensive manuals plus work related learning exercises for you to complete.
Depending on your current employment situation, parts of the program may require some workshop attendance.

Recognition of Prior Learning and/or Recognition
of Current Competencies
We recognise prior learning and current competencies which means we’ll assess you and credit you for your previous relevant experience and qualifications. You can receive credit for the whole or part of this qualification if you can provide the necessary evidence to support this.
To qualify for the full Certificate IV in Training and Assessment you will need to provide evidence that confirms your competence in the 12 Core Units and 2 elective units. Alternatively you can seek recognition for individual units. To view unit descriptions please click here.

Upgrade program from BSZ40198 to TAA40104
For people who already have BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and/or BSZ50198 Diploma of Training & Assessment Systems and can show they are currently utilising these skills, we also offer upgrade course options. To complete the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment upgrade program you will need to complete a maximum of 5 days training. The Upgrade Program gives you the opportunity to upgrade to the new qualification for a lower cost and with less time away from your workplace.
We have 3 flexible options for attaining the upgrade, depending on your previous work and training experience, your preferred style of learning and your availability to attend scheduled workshops. You can choose one option or a combination of two or three.
Course Delivery To complete the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment upgrade program you will need to complete a maximum of 5 days of training.

Individual blocks of Units from TAA40104
If you require only some units of competence from the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment you are able to complete the individual ‘Block’ or ‘Blocks’ that you want.
Also, you have the option of spreading out the payment for this Certificate by enroling in each of the four ‘Blocks’ separately and completing them one at a time

To ensure participants achieve the units of competency,
each unit of competency is addressed separately via a 2 day face to face workshop. Alternatively, participants can elect to attend the first day only of the workshop and complete the assessment component in their own time.
Workshops are alternated between Hervey Bay and Bundaberg, and run consecutively.

Intensive 1 week Workshop
Delivered over five consecutive working days, this workshop holistically links these critical management competencies. Self Paced Learning
All units can be completed through self paced learning. Participants will receive a resource kit complete with assessment activities. They have the option to complete these assessment activities electronically or in hard copy.
